Travel Bags

The terms rucksack, backpack and travelpack are often interchangeable.  However, if you are planning a trip away for a month or more a travelpack is the most useful piece of luggage

Whether you are inter-railing round Europe or travelling to the Far East or Australasia, choose a good quality travelpack.  A well-chosen travelpack can take much of the hassle out of travelling.  Experienced travellers will tell you a travel pack that combines packing convenience, carrying comfort and versatility can make all the difference when you are on the road.

Caribee have been working with the worlds most experienced travellers for over 50 years.  Therefore, you can be sure you are getting the latest styles, lightweight materials, strong, comfortable well-designed travelpacks that won’t let you down.

Travelpacks typically come in 60 litres, 70 litres and 80 litres.  Don’t be tempted to buy a travelpack that is too big for your needs as you will only end up taking more than is absolutely necessary for your journey, adding to the weight and slowing you down.  Most rucksacks have a detachable daypack for shorter trips.  This allows you to leave the main pack in your hotel or hostel whilst sightseeing during the day.  Many packs have expandable sections adding 10 litres of space.

Make sure your travelpack has a good quality harness that is fully adjustable.  Compression straps on the outside of your pack allows you to squeeze a bulky bag down to a smaller size.

Other usual features include:

  • Shoulder strap
  • Rain cover
  • Sternum straps
  • Fully padded waist strap
  • Lockable zip housing
  • External compression straps

The Caribee travelpacks we sell on www.adventureavenue.co.uk have all the features you will need. Even the less expensive rucksacks like the ‘Thunder Bay’ are fully featured and benefit from the many years of research Caribee have put into the current 2009 range.

Caribee is the most popular urban and adventure travel brand in Australia and the Aussies probably travel more than anyone else on the planet.  Caribee rucksacks have visited the furthest corners of the globe and always return with great praise.  People become very attached to their Caribee travelpacks because they look the part and are reliable.

The best travelpacks zip all the way round and open like a suitcase.  These split compartments make it much easier to pack and unpack your clothes.  Other travelpacks to consider are the ‘Dakar’ and  ‘Lynx’ .

Buy the best quality travelpack you can afford, as it is a wise investment.  The ‘Grand Air’ is the top of the range travelpack and is strong, reliable and lightweight with all the features you need for a fun and exciting adventure.

Wheeled travelpacks

Some travelpacks like the hugely popular Fast Track 75 and larger Fast Track 85 have wheels for great convience in airports, hotel lobbies and urban areas.  The Fast Track also comes with a detachable daypack for shorter trips.  Wheeled travelpacks that can be pulled along or carried on your back are perfect for travellers who occasionally venture out to remote areas but who usually stay in an urban environment.  The Fast Track from Caribee is perfect for this - versatile, lightweight, spacious and ultra tough.  The all in one luggage solution.
