When choosing luggage with wheels one of the most important decisions is to be quite clear about what you are going to use the trolley case for.
Business trolley cases are typically designed for a one to three day business trip. If you don’t want to hang around waiting for luggage to be unloaded from the aircraft (which can sometimes take as long as the flight itself, especially on short haul domestic flights) then you need a business trolley case that is cabin size so your case will fit in the overhead cabin.
At www.adventureavenue.co.uk we have a good selection of wheeled business trolley cases. The most popular trolley is the ‘VIP’, which is strong, smart, neat and stylish. The VIP has a long handle for tall people and a laptop compartment for a 15” laptop.
The Thunder 22 is international carry on size approved although you will be also able to carry it onboard with some domestic carriers. This design also boasts a detachable laptop section which means you can leave the main case in the hotel and travel light with your laptop.
All the airlines websites give dimensions for carry on luggage. They are easy to find, usually on the front page. Please check the website of the airline with which you are travelling.
If you are heading off for a long weekend or a weeks holiday then you will need a large capacity wheeled travel case. The ‘Centurion 68’ or larger 80 litres would be a good choice for both casual and professional travel. Tough, robust and strong the Centurion has split compartments making packing and unpacking easy. Good quality fittings and fixtures are essential. The Centurion wheeled trolley case also benefits from inline skate wheels so it glides effortlessly along. It also has twin grab handles for easy removal from the carrousel.
You may prefer the ‘Taipan’ wheeled luggage in black and also in tan/ chocolate colour which is aimed more at women. The Taipan wheeled trolley bag can be expanded to increase capacity by 50%. This is a really useful feature as you will often need extra space in your luggage. The expandable section is not noticeable when zipped away.
Other wheeled trolley cases include the ‘Fusion 21’ from Caribee, which can also be carried on your back. The ‘Exchange’ is a cheaper alternative to the VIP and is great value at £50 – a quality wheeled trolley case with laptop compartment.
Always check for a few key pointers with wheeled luggage;
