Important - Airport/Airline Damage to Luggage
We strongly recommend you examine your luggage carefully before leaving the airport. Damage due to mishandling by the airports staff is not covered by the manufacturers’ warranties. You must file a claim with the airline before leaving the airport. The airlines are accustomed to this and will repair or replace your bag. Your own travel insurance will often cover damage caused by common carrier.
At Caribee we pride ourselves on producing the best and most innovative products available, which are made to a high standard using the highest quality and latest materials available. If however something goes wrong with your Caribee product we are more than willing to take a look at it, and if it's a valid claim, we will repair or replace it.
All Caribee products are guaranteed to be free of "manufacturing faults" in both workmanship and materials for the following time periods, from the date of purchase.
3 Years - Backpacks and Luggage
12 months - Tents, Furniture, Sleeping Bags and Mats, Coolers, Travel Accessories and Beach products.
This warranty does not include normal wear and tear, misuse, improper care or damage by a common carrier (i.e.: airlines) or third parties to our products. The Caribee warranty is not an International warranty and is only valid in the original country of purchase.
Caribee warranty excludes damage as a result of:
- Reasonable or excessive wear and tear;
- Damage as the result of mishandling/neglect by AIRLINES or third parties or transport;
- Heat, flame, or the natural elements;
- Failure to adhere to care instructions;
The Caribee warranty does not cover:
Clips, Buckles, Tri-glides, D-Rings, Zips etc OR in the case of furniture a broken ABS bracket. If these parts are broken during use we may be able to send you replacement parts (dependant on availability) so you can have your product repaired or so you can do it yourself.
Airline damage – it is important when travelling by air that you check your bag for damage upon collection at the baggage carousel. Should damage have occurred to your Caribee product whilst in the possession of the airline, then you must file a claim with the airline before leaving the airport. Damage caused by an airline is not a Caribee warranty issue and can be resolved direct with the airline.
The Company warranties all carlton luggage for 3/5/7/10* years from the date of purchase by the user against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship subject to the following conditions:
a. The Warranty card and the invoice must be duly filled in, dated, stamped and signed by the authorized dealer (except for institutional purchase).
b. The original card and the original invoice clearly showing the date of purchase must be retained and produced along with the defective piece.
c. The warranty card will be valid only if it is signed and stamped by the Company or its Authorized Dealer.
d. The piece must be delivered to the nearest service centre and taken back from the same centre at the user’s cost.
e. The Company reserves the right to repair or replace the defective piece as deemed suitable.
The warranty is not valid for:
a. Damages resulting from accidents, mishandling, negligence, unauthorized repair, tampering, loss of components or accessories, normal wear and tear, exposure to solvents or acids, exposure to extreme heat/temperature and rain/water.
b. Replacement/repair of attaché case folios and suitcase/trolley case divider flaps.
c. Powder coating, plating of locks, frames, channels and other metallic surfaces.
d. Damages from mishandling and abuse in transit (in case of such abuse, user must immediately file a claim with the carrier before leaving the transport terminal).
e. Damage to leather trimmings, if any.
The Company or its selling agents will undertake to repair or replace the defective parts/piece within a reasonable period of time and its decision to the nature of defect and the applicability of the warranty is final.
The Company’s liability for damage is restricted to the repair/replacement of the defective piece. The liability under this warranty shall in no event and under no circumstances exceed the price paid by customer to the company for the goods detailed in the invoice. This warranty excludes every condition / warranty / liability not expressly set out herein.
The locks and security mechanism fitted on the luggage are delaying devices and cannot prevent theft of contents or the luggage. The Company shall not be responsible for any consequential loss or damage
Falcon Bags / iStay
We unconditionally guarantee all merchandise against possible defects for fourteen days from receipt. If your goods should develop a fault during this period you may return the defective merchandise FREE, for a credit, replacement or repair. The only exemption to this is personalized, custom made or special offer items. If it is not convenient for you to return the items yourself, then a courier collection service will be used. In this instance only, Falcon Bags will pay for all return shipping costs relating to defective goods.
Any items found to be faulty after fourteen days are covered by the one year manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty period of a particular product can be found displayed on each product page of the Falcon Bags website. Warranties are non transferable and do not extend beyond the initial warranty period. If for example an item is replaced as part of your warranty agreement, the warranty only continues to the end of the original warranty period.
If you contact us after fourteen days but within the one year period, we will offer a free rapid repair or replacement services for your convenience. Carriage will be charged for the return of any products to Falcon Bags under warranty; however Falcon Bags will return your item carriage free. Should your goods develop a fault after the first year, then you will be responsible for all carriage charges. All items must be returned in its ORIGINAL OR SUITABLE PACKAGING.
Highbury is part of the Woodbridge group and guarantee all their products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of three years. The warranty does not apply if the product is damaged by accident, by a drop to the ground, through normal wear-and-tear, unreasonable use, neglect, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, (salt) water or any other cause, other than material and/or workmanship defects.
Members Luggage/Rock London
Our warranty guarantees our products against manufacturing faults arising from defective workmanship or materials. It excludes damage caused by misuse, including but not limited to overloading, mishandling by carriers, wheeling down staircases and damage due to general wear and tear.
The warranty provides for repair, replacement or reimbursement at the retailers discretion within the country of purchase. and through the original purchase point. The period of the warranty may vary dependant on the product.
Damage caused by airlines should be reported to the offending airline or their agents immediately for settlement of any repair or replacement costs.
All of our Skyflite products offer a 3 year warranty.
The warranty is covered from the date of purchase and provides a replacement caused by defective workmanship or materials only, but excludes mishandling by carriers. This will be at the discretion of the store who will assess the faulty product under our guarantee. A proof of purchase must be retained in order for the warranty to remain valid.
This warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines for example).
We strongly advise you inspect your product immediately after handling by anyone other than you. In case of accidental damage during transit, you can submit a claim to the transit company (which is insured against damaging your product) at the place of arrival, before leaving the terminal building. All of the dimensions and capacities quoted are approximate. Small variances may occur. Where an expansion facility is available the extra capacity is not included.
The warranty is also stated on a yellow hangtag which is attached to all of our Skyflite products. We recommend attaching this to the receipt and keeping it in the front pocket of your case or a safe place in case you ever have an issue with your item of luggage.
We take great pride in our products. For that reason, we offer a ten-year warranty covering any defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty provides for free reparation and/or replacement of this suitcase in the country of purchase and through an official SUITSUIT® sales outlet.
Our warranty is not unconditional, however. The warranty does not apply if the suitcase is damaged by accident, by a drop to the ground, through normal wear-and-tear, unreasonable use, neglect, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, (salt) water or any other cause, other than material and/or workmanship defects. The warranty is also voided in case of any modifications or unauthorized reparations to the suitcase. The warranty furthermore excludes any (consequential) damage to people or goods, also if this damage is the result of a third party product defect.
Totto bags have a one year warranty that covers both manufacturing and material defects under normal wear and tear. The warranty does not apply to cuts, exposure to extreme temperatures, acids or solvents, modifications to the original design, wear and tear, abrasion and excessive tension or damage caused by third party carriers during transportation and delivery and handling by people outside the remit of Totto’s repair and warranty workshop.
The VAUDE Packs ‘n Bags range has a 5 year guarantee for defects due to the inadequate or faulty processing of the materials used by us. Defects caused by improper use, normal wear and tear, own or third party damage are excluded from this guarantee.
We have built our reputation on supplying our customers with the highest quality products and then standing behind them. Our leather bags are made to provide everyday service, and to look good doing it.
We support our Vacquetta Leather items with a guarantee that, for a period of one year, these bags will be free of defects in workmanship or materials. If you have a problem with your bag, simply phone us, and we'll provide instructions on where to send the bag for evaluation. We'll either repair or replace it at our discretion.
Damage caused by airlines should be reported to the offending airline immediately for settlement of any repair or replacement costs.
